  • '10 FZ SHO - 601 Hours and Counting

    Purchased in March 2011.

Original supercharger clutch. Only break has been this last year when the pump bearings basically fell apart requiring a pump rebuild by Jim's Performance. Couldn't pry this ski out of my cold dead hands it is so good. Still a solid 70mph with only bolt on modifications.

Shows you that if you can leave things alone for the most part, with good maintenance oem stuff will provide you with years of trouble free fun.

Jealous :/ and i love how you keep updating your sig with the hours. Congrats and keep it going.

Just a question though; have you had any engine mount issues/failures?

Eric, No motor mount issues. Jim just had the ski for its 3rd 200 hour maintenance and I asked him to change all of the hose clamps including those beneath the engine and while he was at it to check the motor mounts. He reported that they were in good shape. Honestly I have done nothing to prevent them from deteriorating they just haven't I guess.

I've been reading about some of the SVHO problems. I don't really understand what all is going on but I'm guessing as these manufacturers keep raising the boost they are banging into issues not previously experienced. The Kawi Ultras are having issues left and right, Seadoo SC has always had issues and only saving grace is a rock solid motor but now word is they are boosting it again next year. Who knows.

310s are pretty bullet proof now. The older ultras yes, but now it's the new Yamahas, every brand at a certain point will go through a rough patch wether they come out and admit it or not. Seadoos can't keep intercoolers together

I can tell you that 3x 310's in the local bunch of Jetski Junkies have completely blown up with about 100 hours on all of them. I think a total of 5 or 6 are within the Florida bunch. I know each owner and they know their skis and how to maintain them. One of the 310's was a demo from Kawi and professionally maintained at Kawi's expense. I"m not talking a simple failure...I'm talking blown engines.

must be all of them then like the svho and timing chains.... I have 5 local svho's 14-15's and none of them have broken a chain and they ride the shit out of them. None of them are stock
