So dealer can see how long time you been over ex 8000 rpms.
    That would void your warrenty.

Even if you flash back ECU to stock the history will still be there..

BUT , Very soon we have a ready solution for that with Maptuner X.
(the history will not show high rpms..)

((This will be for all yamaha from 2014 -))

Will let you know more once ready. (hope max 2 weeks)
Will this be available to all people who already have MaptunerX? Will it just be a software update?

    Thanks

Did this ever come to fruition with Map Tuner X?

Dean can eliminate the GPS limiter from your stock ecu for I believe $150. If later you decide to flash the ecu he will credit the cost back towards the flash. I still do not see the bypass option available in the Green Hulk store though. Maybe Jerry is working on adding it.

With just Dean's GPS bypass and my few mods, I ran a top speed of 78 mph at 7760 rpm but consistent 76 -77 mph at 7680 - 7740 rpm.
My ski with just GPS bypass has outrun all SeaDoo so far even with a flash (this past weekend) and even some FZ with light mods and flash. It is a great reliable setup and best thing is that you wont void warranty. Stock rpm and boost.

2014? I was hoping to put this on my 2013 FRZ. Hate to void the warranty that is good until 2020.

we are in europe and I tested a bone stock 2020 GP1800R today with 2.4 hours prior to remap.
            We do our own tunes.
Top speed is consistent 119.5 km/h so 74mph at 7800RPM
If there was a GPS inside the jetski, why would yamaha still use a paddle wheel to measure the speed?

So in the first tune I flashed I raised rpm limiter to 8600 rpm, keep timing at 23 after 7500, raised boost limiter and erased throttle valve delay.

Guess what, after reflash, huge acceleration improvement but topspeed identical 74 mph at 7800 rpm.

I guess I am missing something but I can not find anywhere a speed gps limiter in the yamaha file

Perhaps the ECU speed limiter depends upon the paddle wheel?

It's 4 am in the morning here and I am breaking my head over this.
First I think that europe ski's don't have the 69mph limiter, otherwise it would not run 75 stock
I cannot find any map related to the paddle wheel.
What I did see is that the throttle body is only 80% open at 7800 rpm and 10psi of boost.
I am missing something but I'll find

I thought I give you guys some insight in the SVHO ECU

This is stock timing, from 7550 rpm it drops dramatically

And this what we are testing now old vs new in red

I think we found the limiter, I will flash and try
