  • Testing New RIVA Ride Plate this Weekend

Just Got my new RIVA Ride plate in and looking to test it out this weekend. Hoping for 68 mph. My 2016 VXR currently does 66 mph with a ribbon delete and Free flow exhaust. If i get 67.5 mph out of it i'll be happy. I put up some pics of my current factory yamaha Ride Plate, and will put pics of my new RIVA Ride Plate this week once I install it.

Looking forward to your results. Also how is the handling? Total improvement or any trade offs?

Well without the ride plate it handles Great! Cuts corners like it's on rails. So with this new ride plate I'm hoping it does even better.[emoji4]

I got my plate and grate yesterday. I'll test the plate first as I'm waiting for a plug kit for the grate.

Others have specifically mentioned handling in chop is much improved with this plate, though speed is about the same.

Still waiting for someone to take this plate and send to Jim for a speed cut, yielding in theory the best speed and handling plate.

61.7 mph stock on your VXR in your signature? you should be pulling 63 mph at best stock. Add a free flow exhaust and ribbon delete to your ski, and you should be doing 67-68 mph. the Grate and ride plate will help too.

All I could get out of it was 61.7, but in all fairness I'm 300lbs. I got my package from Jerry. I've got a free flow exhaust, ribbon delete, air filter, intake grate, and ride plate. I hope to run 67-68 when it's all said and done.

It should, i'll know by saturday when I have my ride plate on if I get 67 or 68 mph out of my VXR. after spending $480.00 for all three performance parts from RIVA, I would say that for a N/A ski thats kicking some butt! especially if I can do a rolling start with a New Seadoo GTR 230 and stay side by side with one, then it was money well spent

Got the New RIVA VXR/GP 1800 Ride Plate put on today. Install looks good. Compared to the pics of my Stock ride plate I like the new design and Cuts made in the new Plate. Taking my 2016 VXR out tomorrow to get some Top Speed Numbers.

good pics. How long did it take you to install? Very interested to know how much speed you gain. Lake Lanier may be smoother than a usual Saturday because the temp till not even reach 70 until 12:00. That's cool for Georgia in Sept.
