2021 GP1800R SVHO Build & Mods

I just purchased a 2021 GP1800R SVHO with audio and I'm going to be modding it with the Riva goodies. I just wanted to start this thread to hopefully help someone else out looking to mods the ski since these are new. Im sure I will be asking a few questions myself. Mods and performance post coming soon. Hopefully we can get this going!

First mod, Riva power filter and stock limiter removed with MaptunerX.

72mph, 8000rpm, full tank of 93, 90* air temp, 85* water, 180lbs rider. So no heat fade.

I have a setup be here tomorrow to use my phone (iPhone 8 ), but debating on getting dedicated gps (garmin etrex)

I have an app on my phone that is been extremely accurate, its just called "Max Speed". I have have also found that my speedo on the ski is about spot on with my app. What mods do you plan on doing?

Mod update: Power filter, Riva Exhaust "not through hull", stage 1 tune 8500rpm.

78mph, 8200rpm, full tank of 93, 90* air temp, 85* water, 180lbs rider. Did notice a little heat fade and some porpoising at top end but not bad.

I have stage 1+ on it’s way. (Air intake, breather, 13/20 prop, cooling upgrade). I also have a ribbon delete, and blow off valve, and the riva gen 2 ride plate + intake grate coming. Additionally I have the stuff to do a dual battery setup, and a bilge pump, plus hard wiring waterproof usb for phone.

75mph, 7800rpm, Half tank of 93, 90* air temp, 85* water, 180lbs rider. Did notice a little heat fade but no porpoising. Lost some rpm with the 13/20 so I guess thats why my speed is down.

Additionally I have the stuff to do a dual battery setup, and a bilge pump, plus hard wiring waterproof usb for phone.

Nice. My current set up as of today is: Engine breather upgrade, power filter with pre filter which you need, exhaust "not through hull", 13/20 solas, ribbon delete and stage 1 plus tune. Getting 79mph but after it warms up 77-78.

I do my own work and I do a lot of wrenching around but I want to warn you about the ribbon delete. Its a pain to do but can be done in an hour or so. You will need a Dremel Tool with a sander head and router bit. The instructions say take a sharp knife and cut out the tab but thats total BS, no way you can just cut it out. Thats why you need the router bit. Also make sure to remove the injectors before cutting and you will need an air compressor to blow out the debris. I gained 1mph with this mod and I honestly don't know if its worth all the cutting and wrenching on our new 20k skies. lol

I have a riva intercooler with blow off valve and the cooling kit coming so I am sticking with my 13/20 for now. I am needing more rpm so Im hoping the intercooler will get me there. My goal is 85mph but I really don't want to do valve retainers.

Please let me know how the get 2 plate and intake grate treat you. I'm looking for top speed out of my machine so any advice helps. Thanks

Phone mount

I'm sure there's plenty of slick options out there, but I also do a bit of mountain bike riding, and already had the Quad Lock case for mounting on my bike. Here's the set up for waterproof charging with standard 1/4-20 hole ball mount to go right into ski-just need usb outlet, which will be installed once I'm back from work trip. (Work sucks, get in way of play time)

Im seeing 8400-8500 rpm at 85 mph. Still have to install my Lucky 13 cone.

That’s where I’d like to be! I should have just gotten the pro cooling kit from the start, I still might…are u running a standard riva tune, or has Jesus made you a custom one?

I need some quick advice, I plan on doing roughly the same mods and I have a Solas 13/18 ordered but its on back order. I'm thinking this prop will make my rpms to high, thoughts??? I can cancel it since its on back order. Let me know. Thanks
