'22 GP1800 SVHO, 14.9 hours, starting to dislodge. Delete kit installed and manifold tapped, took about 6 hours but wasn't too difficult. New RIVA insert was extremely tight, about the hardest part of the install. For those about to do yours, just take your time and take lots of pictures of what's zip-tied where. Helped with putting her back together. Also vent the gas tank prior to pulling the fuel line off the fuel rail.

I will suggest using a Dremel grinder to taper the opening to allow the multiple Riva supplied o-rings to more easily slide into the intake manifold as the IMUK sleeve is tapped into place. Even lightly greased, those o-rings are a tight/ friction fit.

The Riva supplied hole saw also creates a rather rough opening.

Its strange that the newer ones are coming loose. I have a 2018 and the ribbon was dug in there like a tick. Did they change the manifold?
Riva instructions tell you just drill the hole and then remove the little stand off down below. That is false, you need some sort of flap disk to remove a little more or you will never get the riva sleeve to fit. So far so good on my IMUK, it sucked ass to install, but im pushing 24psi through it with no issue.

I agree, it requires more than just removing the stand off. Thought I had the wrong sleeve for a while there...

I did the ribbon delete on my '22 FX Svho. It didn't look like it had shifted, but I wanted it out anyways.
This was quite a chore. There were additional bolts to remove not mentioned in the Riva instructions on the '22. Nothing major, but the instructions should be updated.
Trimming out the manifold for the sleeve insert to fit was a necessity. I smoothed and opened the mouth quite a few times for the o-rings to get into there. Finally got it to go and still had to work at getting the last 1/8" down in there. Yes, a real tight fit.
Reinstalling the manifold was not fun considering I dropped two bolts into the hull. Two rounds with the magnet stick. Oh well, I fished them out and made it back together. Got it running again and it sounds just fine.
Will update when I get it back on the water.

Do the newer plastic intakes have the 2 support brackets that bolt upside down into manifold? That was the biggest pain in the ass with motor still in hull for me.

They arent upside down, they are perpendicular to the block. Not really hard to get to as long as you know they are there lol

They bolt to the block, & upside down to the intake on mine. & to get to the block ones was even worse than the upside down ones. Haha I debated even putting them back on. I mean the exhaust stays on & is way heavier ha

                    • Can you buy just the sleeve? If you have multiple skis to do you don’t need the holesaw and drill guide

                      • Plastic intake is easier to get to the stay bolts going to the block. (Compaired to the metal intake)

had to use rubber mallet to get sleeve with greesed o-rings to go in. But it's all in, bolted back up. Then I am told some don't use that & just clean the plastic up & let it ride like that. As the sleeve can move? But I don't see how the sleeve can move with 4 bolts from TB It can't spin.

I asked the same question, Riva told me they wouldn't sell me just the sleeve when I ordered them for my two.
