  • Contaminated oil on my gp1800

Hi my friends I'm having a problem with mu ski
My oil is contaminated I not even run this sky much, first I had a stuck throttle body remove the intake there was moister on the throttle body bolts do you think moister can make your oil milky like mine pressure test intercooler was fine check oil cooler was fine
Whats the best way to test oilcooler

Were does the water come from?

Water/moisture inside the engine throttle body can occur from condensation if you are riding in humid air. The intercooler cools the dense air flow from the supercharger and the humid air condenses into liquid water inside the intercooler. The fast air flow going into the engine carries the moisture with it.

If the engine oil looks milky brown then there is water in the oil.
If it is salt water in the oil then it is coming from the cooling system.

If it is fresh water then it would be from condensation.

Hope you have an extended warranty. I beginning to think cracked heads are bigger issue than timing chains. Does yours have a stock tune?

Holy cow that looks bad. Salt water has been in there for some time. I think this motor needs to be taken apart before a rod comes through the block and creates a bigger mess.

            I would not run it.

seams to be the Achilles heal of Yamaha svho cylinder heads, any type of tune. Rare I hear of a head issue with stock tune.
