  • Is this water in oil from a cracked head?

I have a 2016 fx svho and took the valve cover off and it does look milky brown. Is this from a cracked head or bad oil cooler? 137hrs on ski with a deans stage 2. What's the next step and how hard is it to replace the head? ThanksClick image for larger version

water never goes in oil by oilcooler - oil pressure is greater - cracked head is most common! need to block off the exhaust side by a blank gasket and put air pressure thru the thermostat port

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was probably a cracked head. I mean the oil could be just dirty but it kind of looks abnormal.

How often do you run the ski? Is it possible its condensation or are you positive its even water?

I ride pretty much every weekend. I am not positive it's water but when I did the oil change it looked milky. My clutch went out this weekend so I have that all tore down waiting for a new one from Jerry then noticed the oil. There was some white residue on the bottom of the supercharger gear housing so I am assuming that it might be water. I don't know for sure.
