  • Riva STAGE 3 9500 R3 F20 - Fuel Pressure

    Hi Guys,
I have a 2019 FX SVHO Limited. I am having a Riva stage 3 kit installed. I used my Maptuner x and pre-tuned it before I dropped it off. What should the fuel pressure be set to for the Riva STAGE 3 9500 R3 F20 tune?

If it were my ski I would email [email protected], and ask for his recommendations for fuel pressure settings.

    Good luck

The e-mail to Jesus came back undeliverable. I sent a second e-mail to [email protected]

The newer Riva tunes have been using the stock fuel pressure regulator.

I ended up calling Riva as I will be running a Fizzle Z2 wheel. I was told 53psi. That seems a little high on 93 octane fuel. I'll get it dialed in once the kit is installed. I am now having the installer add an afr gauge.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you run good fuel.
If available, use 93 marine fuel that we have available at Walmart!
It will make a great ru nning ski... like through extended top end runs....

I am currently going to the fizzle Z2 also and Jesus informed me no fuel pressure regulator was necessary. Who at Riva informed you it was necessary.
Let us know how this setup goes.

No one at Riva told me that it was necessary. I called them this morning and told them that I am having one installed with my Stage 3 kit. I then asked what psi should I have the fuel pressure adjusted to (since I am using a Z2 wheel)? I will report back next week when I pick my Wave Runner up and run it.

I am inbetween 49-54 psi depending on air temp.

I am using deans team tune. & a riva regulator. I adjust before going out once you learn your range easy to get it pretty dead on.

I have not seen 93 marine fuel near me. I think that our Wawa's has 89 Marine fuel. I have been running the 93 with ethanol as to my knowledge, that's all that we have. I will have to search and see if anywhere around here has it.

It's not required in the kit....

It makes more power and will keep your engine happy.

                          Detonation is an engine killer..
That extra fuel makes a difference.
                          IMHO.

Oh Ok, well hope all goes good with the testing. Hope to hear your results.

What rpm are you aiming for?

It's not about what psi you should have based on your tune, it's about AFR. Its always been a head scratcher to me when folks do the MapTuner flashes on Stage 3 & up setups and never consider AFR. The outside air temp and water temp has a major impact on the tune. To say you have this build, then run this psi is simply put, not enough. Can assure you, the AFR is a factor. To have no control over fuel pressure at all, that too makes no sense to me. In order to get the AFR correct, you need to adjust the fuel pressure. That pressure will vary depending on air and water temps, elevation, etc. To each their own, just throwing that out there.
