You will still get the warning on the dash for the other alarms. There just wont be a separate audible alarm

You can just bend the arm. The problem with that is you’ll lose accuracy at the higher fuel levels in the tank. My plan is to either reshape the existing arm or bend up an entirely new arm, with the goal being to maintain gauge accuracy from full all the way down to empty. When you bend the arm you still want to make sure the float gets to the top of the tank and doesn’t stop somewhere a few inches below the top of the tank.

I know you don't have your new ski yet, and hopefully yours doesn't have this problem, but I'm curious how you would go about adjusting the arm. My suspicion is you may need an new arm that's longer to ensure the float goes to the very top and bottom. Am I thinking about that right?

FWIW, I really do hope Yamaha does provide a solution to this for those that want it. If it's a software reflash, then I'm out of luck since it would cost me thousands just to ship it back to a dealer and back. If it's hardware, then at least I could hopefully buy the fixed item.

Exactly, we don't have alarms going off on our cars, just lights.

This will also be what I do until/if there's ever a fix... The resetting Fuel Usage data seems liek a total brain fart by the Yamaha engineers, that should be fixed
