If this is a pic of the actual rideplate. Without even having one in hand, I see a easy 2+ MPH increase that can be machined into it.

I never spent time taking pics of all our $hit, but thats about to change
seeing how EVERYONE wants to see pics they'l be plenty to come!!!

I did take some pics of the last KAwi 15F plate we just did for a customer in the shop.
it was a 5 STEP machining process just on the riding surface alone to the plate without going into the mounting surface
Should have started taking pics 10 years ago of the modded plates for the GP's and the Raiders but hey...

NOTE this is not the finished product but left to show the machining detail.

CENTER TOP 1: angle starts further forward- cant go to far forward because when machining out the old starting point the plate will get real thin in that area
CENTER TOP 2: note: the machine work is true-- the rideplate was not! Notice the slight angle change where the machining meets the unmachined part. Now the center riding surface is true to the front "X"
CENTER REAR X-- as thin as possible to get the MOST angle ( AND SPEED )possible-- There physically CANNOT be any more material removed.
CENTER SIDE RADIUS- Sides were radiused to retain the strength in this area- if they were machined square it would reduce the strength in this area.
SIDE RIDING SURFACE 1: the sides were at a reverse angle from the center of the plate outward. not anymore
SIDE RIDING SURFACE 2: both sides were machined at an angle from front to rear creating more lift ( AND SPEED )
SIDE RIDING SURFACE 3: the sides in the front hung down below the hull. not anymore.

Wow, I knew the ride plate was thick, but looking at the amount of material taken off, its obvious, there is going to be some gains to be had

what's the deal? I simply said "good eye Carl" Jim has noticed the hidden speed on that plate and is already working on it. Not sure what your problem is?
