Out of curiosity........ How quiet/loud is the ski? Any vibration from the engine at any RPM? How does it handle cross-chop (does it track in the opposite direction of steering input). How does fuel usage seem to you?

JT, these ski's are the biggest secret since the Manhattan project. I have just about given up on getting any info until I get my own damn ski in my greedy little hands...

i had a look at an SHO up close today for the first time at the canberra cup, it was in a yami promo tent and personally i was not real impressed by it...its soooo big and its front end is a little fugly. i am so tempted to trade my 06 gpr for an rxp-x at this point in time but i am goin going to wait until the end of the year to see if yamaha can redeem themselves with a 2 seater sc'd 1800cc mofo. if they do not i will get an X series.

After seeing it in person i like the front end better than the Seadoo RXT, the only thing I'm not to keen on is how the bumper flares up. Although I may remove the mirrors for some carbon fiber block offs, does it really matter whats behind me????? Size wise these new 3 seaters handle so well it does not really mater. When your out in some large surf in the ocean, its kind of nice having some size to the boat....

I figured riding in the ocean he would want a bigger ski.

Yea those small boats are fine when you are hanging close to shore, goofing around & doing some wave jumping. But i'll take a big three seater any day to do some long cruising whether its on an ocean, river, or lakes. My friend has a 97 seadoo SPX and its fun to throw around & spin for a little while but to take long trips which I like to do, no thanks. I'm telling you if you have not rode a kawi Ultra or Yammi FXHO You are going to be surprised on how these things feel. The only reason I did not mention RXT is because I have never ridden one. JMO
