No pictures yet. It similar to the Riva one just purchased silicone tubes and filter myself. I just need to figure out how to secure the filter end other than just strapping it to to the fuel tank. I went ahead with the fizzle 1k. Skis are in the garage if I get a chace I'll take the cover off and snap a couple of pictures. I was going to route it to the plastic cover and put the filter inside the front compartment but that turned out to be a pain with the ridgid silicone tubes. The filter sits right under the left vent and I have the tube from the right on routed to point to directly at the filter. I am also thinking about venting that removable panel in the front compartment. I was also trying to figure out away to install a 8-10" electric fan on that panel to force air through the hull. Haven't got that far yet either. Funds got diverted to my "mid life crisis car" but that is almost done so I will focus back on my ski. Wife said I cannot touch hers, although I did transfer the ride plate and intake from my 19 to her vx crusier.
You are right the pump is not a performance upgrade. I had a slightly leaky transom plate. Since I was removing most of the rear to install the new impeller I figured I would just go ahead and get the 160mm transom plate and the pump upgrade since the new pump makes changing the wear ring out a easier(my perspective and opinion). I also didn't have to grind the 5mm lip that would be created when mating the new transom plate and the old pump that came on the ski. My ski has approx 50hrs on it so, if something were to happen with the pump I would have a spare.

Been doing some upgrades over the winter. Hope to test them out in the next couple of weeks. Fizzle intercooler, Riva cooling upgrade, waterbox from a 2023, custom air intake, candoo speed sensor. Since I was swapping out the prop I decided to do the complete 160mm pump upgrade with the matching transom. I already did the Riva intake grate with their ride plate. Got to get a tune on it and take out. Been thinking about changing out the stock sponsons. Mainly ride on a lake and can get a little rough/choppy in the summer when a lot of people are out and about. Anything I'm missing ?
what Fizzle intercooler you are running? The Y1000? Or the smaller 500 version?
The new “160 mm pump” is not an actual performance upgrade, its exactly the same 155mm to 160 mm pump we have in our 19’ skis, the only difference, it is a one piece pump/impeller housing. IMO not worth the money and hassle. The 160mm transom is a good upgrade though
since you want to keep RPMs low, you might need a Lucky 13 adjustable pump coneLeave a comment:

Good info. I'm not planning on going over 8600rpm as I am not to comfortable breaking into the engine to do retainers yet. Im running the 13/18 impeller so that should keep my rpms close to 8600. From what I have been reading that is still safe without having to do the retainers.
Mr Gp1800. I saw you has a set of sponsons for sale in the classifieds. I don't have enough posts to contact you directly or post in the classifieds. Are they still available?Leave a comment:

I went back and checked my order because I thought I had bought the prop that would keep me at or below 8600. I did get and install the 13/20. I was/am going to request a tune with a 8600rpm limiter to stay safe. Appreciate all of the info!👍 1Leave a comment:

You will be much higher than 8600 RPM with a 13/18 impeller and the mods you have installed. I'd use a 13/20 Solas impeller as a starting point to keep the RPM down. You will need to request a tune with a low enough RPM limit to stay safe with the stock valve retainers.👍 1Leave a comment:

Definitely want to be using a Stage 2 tune with the Fizzle intercooler. You should absolutely install titanium valve retainers as well, either of these will work great:

I love the RIVA sponsons on my GP1800R. If you want to improve the handling even further then you can't go wrong with them.

Once you go to the intercooler you should be running a stage 2 tune. And if spinning over 8600 you’ll want to do the valve retainers👍 1Leave a comment:
