Sorry for being stubborn about this. What I meant about the 5 degree plate on the HO was just to bring the HO top speed up since in stock form it won't break 70mph. And about the sponsons, Yamaha moved them forward on both the HO and SVHO. You made it sound like they only did that on the SVHO models.

I think we have to face facts their are better riva products than others, I like riva, have had some good upgrades from them but i am no riva groupie that has to have every upgrade available. The reason I wont buy the ride plate is because more people than not complain about the bounce, The way my standard plate is shimmed probably is the equivilant of the 5deg HO plate. We both have no bounce on either standard plate and they are yeilding good speed and handling results.Comment

It may be the water conditions or weight distribution (me being fat), but I also had bounce with the factory plate at full up trim. That was on smooth water though, so maybe having a little chop is the key to not having as much bounce.👍 1Comment
