Guess I can't find the search bar on the website. what is everyone using for battery replacement. Funny Yamah does't write part number in manual but they specify spark plugs. Thanks in advance

Deka ETX16 fits nicely, works well.

Factory sealed AGM battery

Double threaded battery posts are convenient for connecting secondary devices; bilge pump, GPS until amplifier, etc

Agree Deka ETX 16L worked well in my 05 vx deluxe. Think deka batteries seem to fit pretty well across the Yamaha platform.

K447 and Johnoo08 THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! K447, still appreciate you advice on how to get my SVHO not to cavitate last year. I beat the snot of it, and cavitation is all but zero, maybe 1 out of 10 full throttle starts I may get a blip of cavitation. Entirely different machine, no blowing out in tight turns, love it!!!!!

The Odyssey PC625 (ODS-AGM16CL) has a service life that is twice as long as the Deka, 10 years vs 5. Real world, you will only get about 3 years out of a Deka. I got 12 years out of my two PC625s and they were still working when I replaced them.
