  • Aftermarket Throttle Levers for 2023 FX HO?

It's difficult for my wife to go on longer rides because she gets finger fatigue using the stock throttle lever, even with cruise control. Are there lever options available to make it a little easier on her hands? I would tell her to just hit the gym, but the last time I did that, I had to sleep on the couch for a few days...

Have y'all really gave cruise control a chance? My girl would rather just say she doesn't like to use cruise instead of actually taking the time to learn how to confidently activate it. Outside of trying different hand grips it seems cruise control should be the cure here

my wife complains about the same thing but she won’t use cruise control. Says it too complicated. I use my index and middle at the same time to minimize fatigue. Cruise control does help when the water isn’t rough

She loves cruise control, but says her hand goes numb from holding down the throttle lever for extended periods of time. We're going to try some gloves to see if that helps. I was hoping there would be a longer lever to use more fingers, but I can't seem to find anything out there.

I get the same finger fatigue when I'm riding. For me, I ride in rough conditions for hours on end and cruise control wouldn't be a benefit. Couple things I thought of: change the settings to "SLOW" acceleration and scab on an extension to the throttle lever (somehow) so I can modulate the throttle easier.

Are there aftermarket solutions to this otherwise?

I have seen somewhere (a Japan company? IIRC) replacement aftermarket throttle levers. At the time I was hunting for a Seadoo and I do not recall whether the same company also made them for Yamaha. They were not inexpensive

I have also seen add-on extensions for throttle levers. At the moment I forget which company made/sold them

Riding gloves can reduce hand grip fatigue.

Sometimes changing from the factory hand grips to aftermarket or even (gasp) grips from another OEM might provide a more comfortable riding experience.

It seems there used to be a company that made extenders by the name EZ Throttle Trigger Extender which universally fit skis. Unfortunately that product is no longer available.
I did find a "Kemimoto finger throttle" for waverunners on Amazon, which is said to reduce fatigue. The lever measures at 2.56", so I'd have to compare to my stock lever. The EZ Throttle was something like 5" in length.

I may have to just fab something myself to get what I want.

Unlimited PWC (Japan based) does sell a few specific alternative throttle levers

                ● SEA-DOO 2009 and later electronic throttle (iTC) and I brake (iBR) system levers.A drill hole is provided in the lever part, and the lever end part is made into a flipped shape to increase the grip of the fingertips and prevent the fingers from slipping out. This unique trigger shape pursues Racing.
