18' FXSVHO STAGE 2 FAIL, Need diagnostic tool

Installed the Riva racing 8800 S2 over the winter and was able to put the ski on last week. Did 2 80mph passes then the fun began. Errors124,128, 151, 153, 132 are preventing me from operation now. I found an old thread where 3 riders had the exact issue and the throttle body was the culprit. Ski has 130 hours on it.

I want to verify and was looking at getting the Candoo diagnostic tool for this ski. I see the UNLIMITED YAMI SYSTEM 1200 in the store. while looking through the rest of the site there are options. I want to verify this 1200 is all i will need to plug into my ski. No other gadgets. My fellow bar hopers also have SC'd wave runners, so it will be some useage.

I currently have the intake back off and going to reassemble to check operation. Just trying to get my ducks in a row.

Righton. I have the map tunerX to read/clear, but from what you said, that 1200 kit/package is all I need for the ski. Not other adapters. Thanks.


I had the intake off and just reinstalled today. All errors went away except the 2 TPS errors. So it narrowed down.

my trouble shooting mind is saying “just buy the throttle body”. My thorough mind is saying saying buy the scan tool.

Buy the maptuner diagnostic cable for about 25 bucks in the greenhulk store. If you already have the tuning license that’s all you need.

Huh...? I was unaware the maptunerX performed diagnostics. It turns out I already have the cable.. However after watching a RivaRacing video you need to purchase the app. That app is about 950$.

I am aware the tuner clears codes etc. Thats how i got the codes listed.
I asked about a diagnostic tool. there's a difference....

no need for an extra app you need the tuning licence and then you are able to read clear codes under service

ok well with the can doo pro you cant see more as codes with text and live sensor data. with the maptuner you see code and text as well
