    2004 AR210 Repower with MR-1 160 HO's

    fiberglass is essentially done... gonna pull the mockup motor and start the real motor installation... I stretched the engine bay 8.5" forward... and ditched the annoying cup holders lost about 4" of floor and bench seat width... The plywood is hand laminated out of 1/4 coosa board and 1/4 birch plywood core CBC for 3/4" and CBBC for the 1" pieces...

    plated the keel between the jet intakes and installed and tested a trim tab prior to the repower... Bennett 3000 and 12x14 single tab... control on the STBD throttle lever...

                    as you can see in the AR210 there is room to stand between the engines in the hole..

                        Ready for some final resin/filler and cloth, topcoat and start putting engines in...

                        note Yamaha's engine mount design... 3/8 aluminum wrapped in glass...

                        had to make a bit of room for the HO "oil pan" bolt heads... they were hitting and JUST keeping the power coupling from aligning perfectly in the horizontal... no shimming needed in the vertical...

                          using the old filler as a vent hole and the old fuel tank vent is moving forward with the new 66 gallon bladder tank in the Ski locker... new vents and blower fan/hose on order for stern..

                            more progress

                            third topcoat. done painting. done structural. engine pissers and thermostat through hulls installed... electronics boxes all layed out.. will install tomorrow... clean up the fiberglass stuff and put away... time to start cleaning engine parts and assembling..
