2012 Yamaha 212ss TPS not working any advice?

According to my mechanic when your TPS goes you need an entirely new throttle body. Is that true?

We moved the Throttle body from the other motor to the one having the error with the TPS and it works fine so we are like 99.99% sure the TPS is not working properly. Is there a way to fix it?

I have searched and searched for the part that the catalog calls for 6AP-13750-02-00. I cannot find it anywhere new or used.

Will a Throttle body from and 2012 ski with the 1800 ho motor in it work for me? All of the throttles that go with the 1800 ho motor look identical in the technical drawings in the intake 1 sections.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. We really wanna get our boat back in the water.

I don't know if it can be fixed or not. I've heard that some people have been able to work on the Kawasaki throttle bodies.

That said, are you sure about your part number? I've seen 6AP-13750-00-00 and 6AP-13750-01-00. I think your number may be an updated version, but it may not be widely available yet.

Don't feel bad, there's a guy on YJB that had the Connext screen fail on his 2 week old Yamaha boat. He's been waiting since November and the dealer just got the replacement this week.

Yamaha has some serious quality and customer service problems.
