  • Broken GPS Solved

When I went fishing on Saturday out of Oregon Inlet my Lowrance unit stopped working about the time we got to our destination. I finally had some time to go through the wiring and fuses and found my problem.
The male hot lead pin on the unit broke off inside of the female connector. I have had this unit four or five years and it has held up well considering what I have put through on the jet ski. I will try and find someone locally that can do the repair or I will send it back to Navionics. I will also get a new power connector. Hopefully it can be fixed. Also looks like there was some corrosion going on.

Should spray those pins down with fluid film or similar.

Upon inspecting the pic w/the Lowrance handheld next to your mounted GPS I noticed the following: My Garmin 76 handheld is upside down (or vice versa).

If you do have to send it back to Navionics they have a nice upgrade option. My dad just send his 10HDS in and they offered him an upgrade to the new 12HDS touchscreen at a reasonable rate.
