Just picked up a 2015 Fxho and working on setting it up for fishing my local lake.
I keep the ski on a floating port, so I'm struggling to find a transducer mount that will allow me to pull it on and off the port. I've seen the flip up mounts from GC out of New Zealand, and I believe one of these would be perfect, but shipping is PAINFUL! https://www.gcjetskifishing.com/en-u...41522544378008
Does anyone know of any similar options?
Also, I've narrowed my fish finder down to 2 options. I'm considering:
Lowrance HOOK Reveal 7 Fish Finder - 7 TS US Inland https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/lowr...E&gclsrc=aw.ds
or
Garmin ECHOMAP UHD 73sv Fish Finder/Chartplotter Combo
I've read that the garmin transducers can be finicky when externally mounted in terms of showing depth at higher speeds. I haven't seen any reports of this on Lowrance.
Ultimately, I need to be externally mounted, and I'd like to have as close to full, perfect functionality of whichever unit I install. What do you suggest?
