Biden Waives Section 303 of DPA Related to Weapons, Ammunition, Explosives and Components



The Defense Production Act (DPA 1950 amended, pdf) essentially is a legislative hurdle that stops the executive from stepping into the private sector and restricting trade, commerce or manufacturing, unless the President says a critical shortage of ÔÇ£xxxxÔÇØ is present and national security is at stake. It prevents citizens from the threat of govt nationalization of resource ÔÇ£xxxxÔÇØ.


In the event the President makes a national security determination, he/she is required to inform congress, invoke the waiver authority, and identify which sectors he/she is now outlining as a national security- such that government purchase orders take precedent in the supply of ÔÇ£xxxxÔÇØ. Yesterday, President Biden invoked this authority.

Given the pandemic shortages are over, and given the sectors outlined, it looks like munitions, raw material, explosives, electronics and certain component issues related to the Defense Dept are outlined.

It's a use of the DPA definitively targeting defense materials. Which raises the question(s):


Is this to secure weapons for shipment to Ukraine?.. OR, Is this to secure a buildup of weapons for a larger purpose? Meaning, is this preparing for an expanded war effort?


There is a lack of media curiosity. However, perhaps drawing attention to it will stimulate someone to ask the Pentagon?


In the interim, ammunition might become a little harder to find.

On February 20, 100 Percent Fed Up reported about the newly elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s decision to release all of the 44,000 hours of footage from January 6, 2021, to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, giving him exclusive access to Capitol surveillance footage.


“I’ve watched what Nancy Pelosi did, where she politicized [Jan. 6],” said McCarthy. “Where for the first time in the history as a speaker, not allowing the minority to appoint to a committee.”


“We watched the politicization of this,” McCarthy said. “I think the American public should actually see all that happened instead of a report that’s written for a political basis.”


Carlson, who has continuously called for a probe into the actual events of Jan 6., has been granted exclusive access to 41,000 hours of surveillance footage from the Capitol protests.

“[T]here was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret,” Carlson told Axios reporter Mike Allen. “If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6. By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.”


In January, Carlson slammed the U.S. government for hiding information from the American public. He also pointed out the ridiculous logic of those who warn that releasing the Jan. 6 Capitol footage could threaten national security.

CBS News -Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s staff was permitted to view but not record portions of some 41,000 hours of police videos documenting the events of Jan. 6, 2021, with the opportunity to request copies of some of the clips under an agreement reached with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s office, according to the high-ranking Republican member of the committee that oversees the U.S. Capitol Police.


Rep. Barry Loudermilk of Georgia, who chairs a subcommittee of the House Committee on Administration, told CBS News that a screening station was set up for the Fox News team to view videos from the riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6. The staffers were not allowed to record or remove any of the videos from the screening area, he said.


The Fox News team “may request any particular clips they may need, then we’ll make sure there’s nothing sensitive, nothing classified, including escape routes,” Loudermilk said. “We don’t want al Qaeda to know certain things.”


Loudermilk said the clips requested by Fox News and cleared for release by his committee would eventually be made public and available to other media outlets, many of which have demanded equal access to the footage. Loudermilk said the timeframe for the release to Fox and the public remains unclear: “Hopefully sooner rather than later, but I think we’re talking about weeks to months.”


Mike Lindell is outraged that Speaker McCarthy is only giving the Jan 6 footage to Tucker Carlson. Mr. Lindell told Steve Bannon last week that he would sue McCarthy to get the 44,000 hours of Jan 6 footage, saying he is violating their right to Freedom of the Press and will take it to the Supreme Court if necessary.

Why Is Election Denier Stacey Abrams Overseeing Elections In Nigeria?



It's an odd case of juxtaposition. A politician well known for refusing to accept election outcomes based on dubious claims is now helping to oversee the "integrity" of elections in an unstable foreign nation like Nigeria.


Democrat and failed Georgia governor candidate Stacey Abrams is famous for her hypocrisy when it comes to accusations of election rigging while attacking conservative candidates for also questioning elections. Abrams refused to concede to Republican Brian Kemp after the Georgia election results of 2018, claiming that the election was stolen due to voter oppression tied to discrimination. She specifically targeted rules restricting some mail in ballots and absentee ballots. Federal courts ruled that there were no grounds for her accusations.



Abrams has long been an avid defender of absentee ballot harvesting tactics and claims rules against the practice are "race related." The methodology of ballot harvesting has long been a boon for Democrats in the US as a means to secure election wins through absentee votes, which are collected by political operatives from people's homes and then delivered to polling places. Suspicions over ballot harvesting and the potential for vote rigging within the chain of custody have been the cause of numerous election conflicts, including conflicts over the 2020 presidential election.


The former governor's candidate is also known for her aggressive opposition to voter ID laws designed to prevent non-citizens from casting in US elections.


Abrams is, strangely, now in Nigeria, joining the National Democratic Institute (along with the National Republican Institute) on a mission to observe elections and encourage voter participation. The diplomatic initiative includes a contingent of globalist think-tank representatives from institutions like the Atlantic Council and the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, which is heavily involved in diversity and equity programs similar to ESG efforts.

City Council Passes 30+Round Magazine Ban, Gun Owners Have Until July 1 to Sell or Move Them



'Columbus Democrats will put you in jail and force you to lose your job for not turning over your 30-round magazines,' Ohio GOP warned on Twitter.

The city council of Columbus, Ohio, passed a resolution Monday voting to require law-abiding gun owners to dispose of firearm magazines that hold 30 rounds or more as part of a new gun control initiative.



Under the new legislation, gun owners with magazines that hold 30 or more rounds, largely referred to in gun circles as ÔÇ£standard capacity,ÔÇØ must move them out of the city, sell them to a licensed gun dealer, or turn them over to police.



According to The Columbus Dispatch, the latest legislation amends a city rule that was already on the books since Dec. 5 that outlawed possessing a so-called ÔÇ£large capacityÔÇØ magazine.

Columbus City Council passed legislation Monday that gives owners of gun magazines of 30 rounds or more until July 1 to move them out of the city, sell them to a licensed arms dealer outside Columbus, or turn them over to the city Division of Police.



While new legislation, the ordinance passed Monday essentially amends the gun-control legislation that the City Council passed on Dec. 5 that effectively bans magazines of 30 rounds or more, as well as requires safe gun storage around children and criminalizes giving or selling firearms to anyone prohibited from owning them.

If people hold on to their large magazines after July 1, they can still take them to police for disposal under the new legislation.
According to the Dec. 5 legislation, anyone possessing a magazine that can hold 30 or more rounds would be charged with a misdemeanor with a mandatory 180 consecutive days in jail without work release, with a potential sentence of up to one year, and a $1,500 fine.

The city's plan to lock up and fine violators has come up against considerable resistance from gun rights activists and the state's own firearm preemption law, which according to BearingArms.com, ÔÇ£declares the state legislature, not political subdivisions, have the sole authority to impose regulations on the right to keep and bear arms.ÔÇØ
Columbus is one of several liberal cities across America attempting to enact draconian gun control measures, in spite of gun rights protections enshrined in the US Constitution.

SHE’S OUT! Chicago Mayor Lori Lighfoot Fails to Reach Second Round of Mayoral Race



The New York Times has just reported current mayor of Chicago, Illinois, Lori Lightfoot has lost her re-election bid.


Lightfoot who has been criticized for her inability to put a stop to violent crime in Chicago was only able to obtain 16.5% of the vote and failed to make it into the runoff for the office.


Mayoral candidate Paul Vallas gained 35% of the vote and Brandon Johnson was able to snag 20%.


Both Vallas and Johnson will face each other in a run-off on April 4th.


As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, Chicago’s election rules require mayoral candidates to garner more than 50% of the vote in order to win, if no candidate is able to meet the 50% threshold then the two candidates with the most votes will face off in a runoff.

After Paul Vallas received the most votes, the New York Times described Vallas as a Democrat with a conservatize mindset when it comes to tackling crime.

Washington DC City Council says bill for allowing noncitizens to vote is now law



The law allows for qualified noncitizens to vote as long as they reside in the city for at least 30 days



A Washington D.C. effort to allow non-citizens, including undocumented immigrants and foreign diplomats according to the Wall Street journal, to vote in local elections is now law.


The City Council passed the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act amid criticism from Republicans. Congress had a 30-day review period, during which lawmakers could have pushed to block the legislation.


The review period ended last week, the council said Monday, WAMU reported. The House pushed to block the D.C. law from taking effect but the Senate ran out of time before the review period ended.



The bill, introduced by council member Charles Allen, says that if a noncitizen is otherwise qualified to vote, they can do so in local elections so long as they have resided in Washington, D.C., for at least 30 days.


"This bill is in line with our D.C. values and this council’s history of expanding the right to vote and welcoming new voices into our political process and government," Allen said before the Oct. 6, 2022 vote. "Our immigrant neighbors of all statuses participate, contribute and care about our community in our city.


Republicans quickly tried quashing the law. Under the terms, voters would have to be 18 years of age by the time of the general election and must live in D.C. for at least 30 days before the election and not claim voting residence in any U.S. state or U.S. territory.


In January, House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-K.Y., introduced a resolution to disprove of the legislation.


"Voting is a pillar of American democracy and a constitutional right that undeniably needs to be protected and preserved for citizens of this country," Comer said in a statement. "The D.C. Council’s reckless decision to allow non-U.S. citizens and illegal immigrants the right to vote in local elections is an attack on the foundation of this republic."


Congress can find other ways to block the law, WAMU reported, such as prohibiting D.C. from spending money to implement it.
