Jacob Chansley RELEASED from prison after being sentenced to 41 months on Jan 6 charges

Jacob Chansley, 35, pleaded guilty in September 2021 to what the Daily Mail reported as civil disorder and violent entry to the Capitol building. He was sentenced to 41 months in federal prison.
His attorney Albert S. Watkins said that he had been released from prison early, and was going to be relocated to a halfway house.

“After serving eleven months in solitary prior to his sentence being imposed, and only 16 months of his sentence thereafter, it is appropriate this gentle and intelligent young man be permitted to move forward with the next stage of what undoubtedly will be a law abiding and enriching life,” Watkins said.“I applaud the decision of the US Bureau of Prison in this regard.”


However, it has not yet been made clear why Chansley was released from prison early. Watkins declined to comment on the matter, saying: “This was a decision of the US Bureau of Prisons. I cannot speak for the US Bureau of Prisons.”


The Bureau of Prison’s records confirm that Chansley is currently in the custody of the Residential Management field office in Phoenix, with a release date of May 25, per the Daily Mail.


While federal guidelines do allow for prisoners to have reduced time due to good behavior, it would still mean that Chansley would have had to serve 35 months and 22 days of his 41-month sentence.


Chansley served 27 months in prison before being moved to the halfway house.


Earlier this month, Elon Musk called for the release of Chansley after new footage from January 6 emerged, appearing to show police escorting Chansley through the Capitol building.

The Tennessee Democrats advertised for the insurrection all week and encouraged protestors to storm the Capitol.

Can’t Make This Up: Fascist Democrats Attempt to Strike Testimony from US Senator Schmitt and AG Jeff Landry from Record – During Hearing on GOVERNMENT CENSORSHIP!



As reported earlier, The Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government held a hearing on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. ET. The hearing examined and discussed the ongoing Missouri v. Biden case challenging the administration’s violation of the First Amendment by directing social media companies to censor and suppress Americans’ free speech.


The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Hoft is the lead plaintiff in the case against the Biden administration’s extensive censorship industrial complex.


This morning Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt, Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, and Attorney John Sauer testified before Jim Jordan’s Hearing on the Weaponization of the Federal Government committee, along with pro-censorship law professor Matthew Seligman from Stanford.


During the “hearing on censorship,” the Democrats attempted to strike testimony from two of the GOP witnesses.

During the testimony today, Democrat Virgin Islands Delegate to Congress Stacey Plaskett (D) got up from her chair at a House committee hearing on Thursday, stormed over to Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) and threw a letter in his face. Rep. Johnson had just given the letter to her a moment before in an effort to assuage her objections to the letter being entered into the record.


The hearing turned contentious after two witnesses, Sen. Eric Schmitt (R-MO) and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry (R) were excused by Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) after they read their opening statements–but before Democrats could question them.


Of course, Democrats wanted to censure their statements after they left the room.


And then the top Democrat got unruly and threw a document at Rep. Mike Johnson.

New York Times: President Trump Has Been Indicted by Manhattan Grand Jury – Indictment Under Seal, Terms for Arrest Ongoing


Breaking moments ago, the New York Times is reporting that President Trump has been indicted by a Manhattan grand jury, the sealed indictment will be released in the next few days and the surrender of President Trump to law enforcement in New York City is being worked out.


(NEW YORK TIMES) – A Manhattan grand jury voted to indict Donald J. Trump on Thursday for his role in paying hush money to a porn star, according to four people with knowledge of the matter, a historic development that will shake up the 2024 presidential race and forever mark him as the nation’s first former president to face criminal charges.


The felony indictment, filed under seal by the Manhattan district attorney’s office, will likely be announced in the coming days. By then, prosecutors working for the district attorney, Alvin L. Bragg, will have asked Mr. Trump to surrender and to face arraignment on charges that remain unknown for now.


[..] Mr. Trump has consistently denied all wrongdoing and attacked Mr. Bragg, a Democrat, accusing him of leading a politically motivated prosecution. He has also denied any affair with the porn star, Stormy Daniels, who had been looking to sell her story of a tryst with Mr. Trump during the campaign.


Here’s what else you need to know:



♦ Mr. Bragg and his lawyers will likely attempt to negotiate Mr. Trump’s surrender. If he agrees, it will raise the prospect of a former president, with the Secret Service in tow, being photographed and fingerprinted in the bowels of a New York State courthouse.


♦ The prosecution’s star witness is Michael D. Cohen, Mr. Trump’s former fixer who paid the $130,000 to keep Ms. Daniels quiet. Mr. Cohen has said that Mr. Trump directed him to buy Ms. Daniels’s silence, and that Mr. Trump and his family business, the Trump Organization, helped cover the whole thing up. The company’s internal records falsely identified the reimbursements as legal expenses, which helped conceal the purpose of the payments.


♦ Although the specific charges remain unknown, Mr. Bragg’s prosecutors have zeroed in on that hush money payment and the false records created by Mr. Trump’s company. A conviction is not a sure thing: An attempt to combine a charge relating to the false records with an election violation relating to the payment to Ms. Daniels would be based on a legal theory that has yet to be evaluated by judges, raising the possibility that a court could throw out or limit the charges.


♦ The vote to indict, the product of a nearly five-year investigation, kicks off a new and volatile phase in Mr. Trump’s post-presidential life as he makes a third run for the White House. And it could throw the race for the Republican nomination — which he leads in most polls — into uncharted territory.


♦ Mr. Bragg is the first prosecutor to lead an indictment of Mr. Trump. He is now likely to become a national figure enduring a harsh political spotlight. (LINK)

California police union executive director ran fentanyl operation from home: feds


A California police union executive director allegedly ran a drug ring from her home and used her office computer and UPS account to order and distribute opioids and other drugs, federal officials charge.


Joanne Marian Segovia, who has worked for the San Jose Police Officers Association since 2003, was charged on Wednesday with attempting to unlawfully import a synthetic opioid called Valeryl fentanyl.


She faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison if convicted, authorities said.


Police union president Sean Pritchard was shocked by the charges, telling NBC Bay Area, “She’s been the grandma of the POA.”


“This is not the person we’ve known, the person who has worked with fallen officers’ families, organized fundraisers for officers’ kids — just not who we’ve known over a decade.”


According to the 13-page complaint, the 64-year-old allegedly received at least 61 packages at her San Jose home from various countries — including China, Canada and India — between October 2015 and January 2023.


The packages reportedly were marked as food supplements, wedding party favors, makeup, chocolates and other items to disguise the drugs, prosecutors said.


The packages instead contained various drugs, including deadly synthetic opioids and Tapentadol, which is normally used to treat severe pain from nerve damage caused by diabetes.


Prosecutors also allege Segovia exchanged messages on WhatsApp between January 2020 and March 2023 with someone who was using a country code from India.
