While E15 sucks, she doesn't have it exactly right. Ethanol fuels phase separate when the ethanol in the fuel absorbs as much moisture as it can, and it can't anymore. When the ethanol becomes saturated with water, thats when is separates. Then you get the gasoline and ethanol as 2 separate entities in your fuel tank, no longer mixed together. This is why I run ethanol free gas in everything but my cars. The lesson? Only run E15 in flex fuel vehicles.
