  • Hot Rod V8 Wavecrusher PWC

I thought you all might enjoy my new PWC. I've been hot rodding and boating all mylife, several PWCs going back to the first family JS440 in 1978.Lots of my hot rods feature big and uniqueengines.I thought a PWC with a giantcar engine would be about as far as you could go on that theme, so I built it.Here are the basics; Wave Venture hull, reinforced w/ full length engine mountstringers, Ford DOHC aluminum V8 (330 hp), Custom 1.7 OD gearbox, fabricatedcarbon engine cover/ upper deck, etc, etc.It runs 80 mph.Different thanmost PWCs in that it's pretty heavy so body English isn't terribly effective, but it sure is fun riding around on a big loud powerful engine

Welcome. I have seen this other places on the Internet and it always peaked my interest. Would love to see a video of it running in and out of the water. It looks as though the quality of fabrication is second to none and it looks really really cool too. Please post some video if you can. Thanks.

My guess is that he is just super careful and I doubt he does any real rough water/turning and burning. Burning pun intended. LOL

The pipes are far enough away that you would have to stretch to reach them, but its at the back of my mind for sure, no burns yet. And I don't do a lot of turning and burning more because it would for sure fill the engine with water if it capsized. It also handles as well as a Venture 1100 with 3 adults on it, and you're driving it from the back seat, so fun for sure, but a different PWC experience. I'll post some video soon, I've got some clips I need to string together.

This is the first info I've posted about it and I don't know of anything else out there, I'd be interested to know if there is anything else posted about this.
