  • Coverage Questions on PWC Insurance

What company offers the best coverage ?
Do any companies offer coverage for items like sunk ski or cover items like engine failure. If so what companies might that be
I am particularly interested in the coverage for engine failure and sinking. On a 2005 and 2006 so I would like to get some possible coverage for them. Thanks

What part of the world are you riding in?

Insurance generally is mostly/partially about your liability towards other people, should someone or something be damaged by your operation of your PWC.

Loss/damage of your PWC (such as impact with an underwater hazard, perhaps sinking) may be covered.

Mechanical failure such as the engine, jet pump, electrical - such coverage would vary with the policy. Often, especially with older watercraft, such failures are not covered at all.

My WaveRunner got a hull repair through insurance. But mechanical failure? I don't remember all of the details but I remember that overheating isn't covered in my policy. Also, although the mileage off the coast is covered, The Bahamas is specifically NOT covered.

REALLY? I'll have to check my policy, but was hoping for a trip over there this year (from FL/Keys)...Thanks for bringing this up.
