Maybe, but for how long...It may work in a racing application with a team of techs supporting it but for consumer duty it isn't suitable.

The og riva vortech h trim kits for the 15f ran 430hp at 18psi with ms109 on stock rods. What in your experience with the kawasaki platform is fragile?

From reading several posts in the Kawi section, apparently piston quality is/was lacking?

To my knowledge, there was nothing conclusive found about the metalurgy/design on the pistons, though there were numerous failures on the 310.

The solution as far as was related to the public was a new tune/ecu installed in conjunction with replacing the failed 310 8.2:1 pistons with the old 300 8.4:1 pistons.

Supposedly the issue has been fixed on the new skis but I can't comment as I don't have one.

Thanks for the update, glad to hear it! Sure would like to see Kawasaki step their game on the 310 platform. Has anyone ditch the S/Cer for a turbo and standalone ECU?

I've had 3 low hour 310's with broken pistons picked up from my shop by the insurance salvage pool wrecker. I've also worked on a couple of the 250's with broken pistons. I mean, who puts a cast piston in a boosted engine??
