I've had 3 low hour 310's with broken pistons picked up from my shop by the insurance salvage pool wrecker. I've also worked on a couple of the 250's with broken pistons. I mean, who puts a cast piston in a boosted engine?? -
To my knowledge, there was nothing conclusive found about the metalurgy/design on the pistons, though there were numerous failures on the 310.
The solution as far as was related to the public was a new tune/ecu installed in conjunction with replacing the failed 310 8.2:1 pistons with the old 300 8.4:1 pistons.
Supposedly the issue has been fixed on the new skis but I can't comment as I don't have one.

The og riva vortech h trim kits for the 15f ran 430hp at 18psi with ms109 on stock rods. What in your experience with the kawasaki platform is fragile?
