This interface is too cryptic for me. Lots of little symbols to click on rather than words............
I'm still not sure if the user can make the search feature is forum specific.

there is definitely a learning curve, but once you learn it you will see this updated version is light years better than what we had.

When reading inside a forum section, such as Conversions or Yamaha whatever, can you search just within that specific forum?

I just learned that you are given that option when you expand the search drop down. It will let you select title only or in the forum that you were in when you selected search. That should help concentrate on helpful threads.

This function is only available to moderators:
Just click the box on the post that you want to edit the subject line. Then select edit. Then modify the subject line in the post.

Go to the URL in your browser then copy/paste

Click their user name, it brings you to their profile and then you can see all of their posts.

Well, if they have posted several places recently, that does not directly reveal the offending post.

The system knows which post triggered the alert. A link to the exact post would be useful.

How does that work for a post that is not the most recent post in a thread?

We used to have post numbers within each thread, and embedded within each post number was the URL for that specific post.

The post numbers were sometimes used to refer to an older post in the same thread, or perhaps to a certain post in another linked thread.

I do not use post numbers very often but I really would like to link to any specific post within a thread.
Not just the original/first post nor just the most recent post.

if they are a spammer then ALL of their posts are offending posts. Delete them all. You have the option to delete their posts, mark as spam, and ban.

NOTE: This is a moderator function and not available to members.

There are 3 steps to edit the subject line on a thread.
If you don’t have the ability to edit the subject line, then that may only be an Administrator function.
