Candela Unveils WorldÔÇÖs Longest Range Electric Boat

The team at Candela recently announced the Candela C-8 ÔÇÿpowered by PolestarÔÇÖ, the longest-range electric boat to date. In a collaboration with the premium electric car brand, Polestar, the project was able to come to fruition. The Candela C-8 is expected to have a range of 65 miles on one charge with a cruising speed of 35 miles per hour.

Recharging on the water, where? 

Most large marinas have electrical power along the docks. Often every slip for larger boats has AC power.

AC power has been commonplace on marina docks for decades.
There are specific regulations covering how the outlets are installed and provide shock protection.

In the US 30 amp and even 50 AMP dockside outlets are fairly common.
