Once on pwc and last year by boat. It’s an amazing trip and one that is unimaginable. I just can’t stop thinking about pwc’ing it again.

Your absolutely right any of the crossing to the Bahamas area by ski or boat is unimaginable. Video, photos are just a small glimpse to share with others. But nothing like seeing if for yourself. We absolutely love North & South Bimini and the Bahamian people and there culture. Doesnt get much better, Island time!

Bimini is rich with historical landmarks and natural attractions. Floridians on the coast have the luxury of being located only 50-miles away.

A little bit of information for some that don’t know anything about the Bahama chain of islands.

Have any plans been made? We have a small group from Mississippi planning on this trip for May 19 thru May 25 2019. Looking for someone to team with for the crossing to Bimini and back. 3 or 4 night stay dates can be adjusted.

We have a fairly small group going June 29th through July 6th. It is open to anyone that wants to go with us, just need to arrange accommodations. We will be staying at the Bimini Sands Resort and their website is as follows: https://www.thebiminisands.com/accommodations

I've never heard of anyone... but I've toyed with the idea. I'd be down.

I think if I can get a chase boat or two I would like to try it. I have a new SXR1500. I think for sure the 4 stroke is the way to go

                    That’s not a standup, that’s a micro yacht!!

if you’re gonna donit on a standup, do it on a stand up!! Lol

A couch or two would be plenty in terms of support boats. I can make it across using only about 12-14 gallons and I can carry a total of 30gal quite easily.

Had planned on leaving this month for the exumas. But covid decided otherwise.

Covid Strikes again! I had some more time off this summer so was wanting to try something crazy like this. I guess I might have to try again next year. Keep us posted if things change.

What type of skis do people use on a trip like this? I have a GPR but not sure how it handles in rough water.

BIG ONES. I did my first trip on an Aquatrax F15x. Second trip was a 30' boat, third trip was FXHO (current ski) and next trip will be FXHO. I take 12g of Auxillary fuel when heading to bimini and 22 gal aux when I head to the Exumas. I like having more than necessary. There's really no reason I can't make Bimini with 11 gal of my 18.5g capacity, but it doesn't hurt anything to have some extra.

I wouldn't suggest trying on your gpr...
