Actual sandy beaches, not the usual hard solid rock or gravel




Giant's Tomb Island, west-northwest coastline


Beware of the entire northern coast of Giant's Tomb Island. There are huge areas with enormous rocks just below the surface, and the rocky area extends way out from the visible shoreline. We use Garmin marine charts and I was still surprised at some of the huge rocks that suddenly appeared as we rode over them. Give the whole area a wide margin.
