  • Panama City/St Andrews State Park this coming weekend 13-16 April

Hello, new to the forum. I'm heading down to Panama City Beach this weekend for a 4 day pass. Curious if anyone is interested in riding in that area on any of those dates.

Looking at map, St Andrews State Park is fairly close to where I'm staying. Also, up to put ski in and do some ocean riding if someone local is up to ride.

What an awesome weekend of riding, met a couple a local jet skiers from that area, waves were crazy with the weather front that came through.

Looking forward to next trip down.

I'm heading back down 21-25 May with 2 skis this time to let my daughter ride with me out of St Andrews Park.

Anyone that wants to ride in the area during that timeframe post up, awesome place to ride.

Was worth the trip last time just to play with the Dolphins that were around all the time in the bay and running thru the jetty out into the ocean.

We're heading to PCB first weekend of Oct. Was thinking of riding near Shell Island and St Andrews State Park. Wife and I ride slow and easy. She wants to photograph dolphins. Any tips for spotting? We're staying at the Summit in PCB. Can we anchor off the beach at times to visit friends on the beach?

We live and ride in the area almost every weekend. Anchoring at the beach can be tough with a high surf and all the rules but St Andrews and shell island are a easy . We are going on a springs ride Sunday. Will take the river south out of Ebro across the Choctawhatchee Bay to awesome oysters at the bay club and then north up to the springs. 4 to 6 hours and u get the beach bay rivers and spring

We just got a condo in PCB and will have use of it by October 2019. Looks like 'The Bay' is at the south foot of the 331 bridge, ought to be easy to spot from the water. I'm always in on raw oysters. Looks like I can launch in Grand Lagoon and ride West Bay Creek all the way into the Choctawhatchee or is that all no wake zones?

I checked which Panama City marinas actually had gasoline available when I was there on March 6. Walked in while driving around the area.

Only two places on the water had working gas pumps.

Treasure Island had just finished replacing the storm damaged docks and gas pumps with all new.

                    89 octane only

Lighthouse Marina on the other side of the water also had working gas pumps.

                    Also 89 octane only

                      Jonk67,

I don't remember any of the area being no wake zone are less you come across a boat ramp up the Choctawhatchee River.

Thanks Billy D from Chalmette! I moved from Slidell after Katrina and pass through Chalmette to see my dad and brothers on the Westbank. Use to ride my '93 SP in Lake Pontchartrain nearly every weekend.

Oh come on? Small world. We still cross through Lake Pontchartrain time to time. You know how crazy choppy it can become . We have spend a lot of time out in Destin & PCB over the summer for many many years. I’m a fan of PCB myself, love the place. We usually ride from PCB to Apalachicola and Destin. Not sure damage of Mexico Beach & Apalachicola after the hurricane. Such a nice place, in time I’m sure it will big & better just like Slidell & Da Parish after Katrina. Let me know if I can be of any help

Hey guys, I live in Panama City Beach area since I'm on military orders here at NSA Panama City (Navy). Yay shore duty! I talked my wife into letting me buy an RXP-X 300 which we bought this past December and I ride nearly every weekend here locally. I usually drop in either at St. Andrews state park since we bought a season pass there or if those ramps/parking are full which is usually the case now in the summer months, I use the base marina over by the Hathaway Bridge. My primary ride consists of a pass around the bay usually hitting up Shell Island from the East Bay side since the Southern/Westerly winds seem to be consistent chop both bay and gulf side. Anyways, I'm always looking for some new places to ride and fellow enthusiasts to meet since we're still relatively new here. Hit me up either here or you can e-mail me at [email protected] and I can give my number out there.
