So we are planning a trip to Destin, FL. This would be my third trip to Destin with the waverunners. Only problem this time is we are planning to go end of April or beginning of May due to some other stuff going on later during summer. This would be our only time to go. I am curious if the water temp is fine and how does Crab Island look at this time? I heard Vendors come out end of April but water doesnt warm up till mid May... so for us midwesterners, warm water is 68-70F (lake michigan) in mid July. So would we be ok going at the beginning of may and would there be other people at crab island at that time? The more info the better... any help is appreciated!

Santa Rosa Sound (Navarre and west of Navarre) the water temp was 63-66F yesterday. -
