Let's not forget the most scenic river in NJ......... the Raritan. Actually this is the South River which connect the Raritan to the Washington Canal. Where else could you ride next to an active landfill... watch out for the seagulls, nothing in the world like a Jersey trash dump gull......

Beautiful lake. I've always wanted to explore those bigger lakes up there, most of the stuff down here is smaller. I'd imagine you run out of room fairly quickly on a busy day though..

                          Beautiful yes, bigger no....

If you coming from the Mullica area I wouldn't make the drive. I only go occasionally because I work in north Jersey and we get out early on summer Fridays. At least in Hopatcong you can make a couple of hours of it as there's multiple coves & shoreline to explore. GWL is only 6 miles long and I can't imagine how crowded it is on summer weekends.

If you want a bigger lake, try Wallenpaupak but that's even 2-1/2 hours for me coming from the Princeton area. Of course there's always Sacandaga or Lake George in NY which are both fantastic if you doing an overnighter.

I also tried Fly Boarding 2 weeks ago for my 30th bday. Within the 45 minute lesson I learned how to do the porpoise-dive
Hooked up to the 130hp GTI, not my RXT.
