Best lake in NJ/NY area

It is not that close to NJ but I like Deep Creek Maryland. It is a nice sized lake near the west Virginia state line....we vacationed there for like 14 years in a row. Always brought the boats or skis.....very nice time...nice lake....

I'm in the Fingerlakes, plenty of beautiful lakes up here to ride and cruise the Erie Canal if you want.
