Anybody ever use this below off Beach Blvd? A guy at work who lives in Brick just told me about this. When I questioned him about putting a ski in the PP Canal, he said it's real close to the bay.

I know about the launch at the end of Bay Ave, we tried that a couple of years ago but there was no parking and I had a 2 wheel drive Ranger at the time and was concerned about getting stuck in the sand.

Pretty sure its illegal, and just a stones throw from the state police station in the canal.

That ramp neighbors the marine police station, just give them a call and ask. http://www.njsp.org/marine-services/...-station.shtml
Had to be there - and there.

Thanks, in fact when you open this page at the bottom, there is a link to ask them a question. It opened up my e-mail program so I asked.

              Lets see what they say.

It's amazing how everything is illegal in this state. It's just a damned boat ramp, we aren't selling drugs or something. Lol.

I learned that private marinas that accepted FEMA/Sandy Storm funds are required to offer public use of their launch ramps. The dock master of a private marina told me this himself. There's potentially a lot of ramps you could use and not know it.

Is there a database or another way to figure out which marinas accepted funds? Are they also required to provide parking ?

I think the ramps are numbered, so there likely is a database. He clearly indicated NO, they are not obligated to provide parking. You have to find a place on the local streets to park.

An e-mail response from the State Police Marine Division:

                        Sir,
You cannot use that ramp. However, you can use the free public ramp on the other side of the canal, it is located at the end of Bay Avenue.
                        Hope that helps.

I guess that answers that question.....

Jet skis are not permitted in the point pleasant or cape may canal. Hence why that ramp can not be used.

The Bay ave ramp is right around the corner.
