  • Old Hickory to Nashville

Went on the Middle Tennessee PWClub ride from Old Hickory to a rain shortened Nashville. Personally it was my first lock thru dam and first time on the Cumberland river below the dam. Had a great time and met some good new people. The trip was shortened when we got to Nashville and and checked weather radar. It was turn around now or get wet. Personally I was dressed for rain which up to that point was nil. Came back and grabbed lunch up on Old Hickory which gave us all a chance to talk.
I gotta say I love to ride and venture. Heck that's what it's all about ...

I will have to do that trip again soon and venture farther with or without a group.
I was surprised I didn't see Nashvegas there. Maybe NV and I can hook up and ride one of these coming weekends.

Yah had lunch and everyone went home. ...except. ....me. i was down to 1/2 tank so I fueled up at Drakes creek and went riding up the lake . The rain would come and go. Water was nice.
By the way yesterday was the first I fueled up since riding with you guys "remember my low fuel came on " took 17.5 gallons to fill it . I don't know if it will burn down the last full gallon...but that really made me think about it.

Glad to hear you guys rode. I had a family birthday party to attend and also had to pick my wife later that evening from the airport, so I couldnt make it.

LOL about the 17.5 gallons. Thats cutting it pretty close. The farthest Ive come in with it running is .4 gallons. I was on smooth water that day, if it had been rough out I'm guessing it would have cut off with around a gallon left.

I will hit you up. If you were out on Saturday you have a pretty good idea of how the riding is for the winter months. Just will add more layers to what you had on plus some ski goggles.
