  • 2014 Grand Tour, 350 mile ride, save the date!

For all those of you who said you wanted to do the Grand Tour ride, from Mackinaw City, MI to Holland, MI, but didn't have vacation time this year--save the date and plan now! The 2014 Grand Tour will be Aug 7-9, 2014. You and your ski will need to be in Holland, Michigan, Wednesday Aug 6 by 9am, to load ski into trailer for the ride north to Mackinaw. Below is some info about the ride, at the bottom of the article are links to the website and Grand Tour movie. The water and weather couldn't have been better for the 2013 ride-- sunny skies, favorable winds, and a great combination of waves and flat water. Hope to see you there! http://watercraftperformance.com/201.../#.UgwImynD_IU

PWC riders Looking for a Challenge!
... Well, look no further! The 2014 Grand Tour to Benefit Leader Dogs for the Blind kicks off on August 6th, and if it’s anything like we had last year, it will definitely challenge you and your ski.

The Grand Tour is a 3-day, 350-mile ride on Lake Michigan, from Mackinaw in the North to Holland in the South. The ride raises money for Leader Dogs for the Blind, located in Rochester Hills, MI. This group trains dogs to assist the visually impaired, at no cost to the recipient, and is privately funded.

In the 15 years of this event, we have raised over $265,500! Each rider must raise a minimum of $500 to participate, and is responsible for their own fuel and hotel costs, most meals are provided. The group meets in Holland Aug 6th to begin the adventure!

If you have any interest in this event, or would care to help any rider raise their donation for Leader Dogs, please post, or go to the ride's website for more info.

Hi Karen! I love watching the videos and looking at pictures of the Grand Tour and reliving (most but not all) the Grand Tour experiences. Always a new adventure and for a great cause!

Thanks for sharing that Karen. Like you, I only hope that people will see your post, watch the video, and get the itch to know more.
The Grand Tour is an incredible event in so many ways!
I have over 4,900 Lake Michigan miles (for real) worth of Grand Tour participation under my belt so I think that lends some credibility to my comments. I am already making plans for 2014 Grand Tour and look forward to seeing you 'old timers' and meeting a few new riders! ML
