Fond Du Lac has a good boat launch. Lakeside Park, IIRC. Good launch and a lighthouse for navigation unless you have a GPS. Travel the length of the lake and make stops here and there.Red 03 GTX SC and Yellow 03 GTX SC

wetsuit? - I'm good either way. I have a full and 2 piece shortie and I usually make the choice the day of. A wetsuit on a cooler day certainly makes it more fun.
