  • Where to vacation in northwest w/ ski?

Live in Oly and want to go to Lake Chelan but it's completely booked on short notice. I want to go somewhere next weekend and stay the night of the 19th, 20th, and 21st. Any suggestions? And I don't want to vacation in Seattle because again, I live in Oly and want to feel as if I'm a little out of my element.

Eh... it's only about 2- 2 and half from where I live (ritzville) so yeah that could get up to around 7 for you I guess, but the majority (until spokane) would be freeway, and then after spokane its still real good road... it'd be worth it though in my book... but then again I've made a trip to Tacoma, back, and back to Tacoma again in one day (not the most fun in the world).

Sweet! Hey Dan I launched at Columbus and putted around all day. It was nice knowing the sheriff was preoccupied keeping boats from drifting across the imaginary buoy line. They had that safety circle so far from the course that I couldn't see the races. Great weather!

Yeah I forgot about potholes... it's pretty neat, check it out. It could be real low right around now though so I'd look into it before you set your sights on it.

I fyou go to potholes, might as well go to Scootenay Res... Cool little site.

Also, banks lake is a NICE area. Sunbanks resort has little cabins (no potty) on the waters edge too.

You should have come on over (by car)... The pits are at my beach, with a beer garden and all..
