Thanks Dan...no where to put them though. And thanks for the info Mason Lake - is that by chance where you are at? I've wanted to get out there. Maybe this weekend if the weather holds.

Tex - I'm afraid Saturday on Lake WA is going to be too much of a zoo for me. I'm hoping to come up to Lake Campbell or Campbell Lake sometime near Oak Harbor. How's that for riding?

i goto campbell alot....i enjoy it...the water is clean...it's a smaller lake...but it's big enough...and usually there aren't to many idiots on the water....there's enough parking....and you don't have to pay...you just have to have a recreation permit...but if you come up here and don't have one i have an extra i'll let you use...and there are gas stations within 10 miles of the lake...water last weekend was 73 degrees...

Yes, I've rented a place on Mason Lake and have lived there for the last seven years.

Although the Public Boat Launch is pretty bad the lake itself is pretty nice. It gets busy on the weekends, but nothing like what you would see if you were on Lake Washington.

I'll probably be gone this weekend - I need to go to the parent's place to take care of a few things. If you plan on coming out some other time, send me a PM and we'll see if we can link-up.

I hope that you have a great time tomorrow watching the Blue Angels.

Will definitely get out on Mason Lake too this year. I'll let you know! I lived on Summit Lake for a few years but I never took the ski elsewhere. Now that I have to trailer it to water I find myself actually going places so it's great to get out and about. American Lake is nice - it's a cross between Summit and Lake WA. The multi-million $ homes, assured choppy water but clean water like Summit.

Great time Darren thanks for meeting up! I think we picked the best day to go. Here are some pics of the Angels I took. It was hard getting a bead on them when they flew right over head.

Actually if I had to guess I'd say about 150' on top of us on a few fly-bys. It's just a Canon Xti with a mid level 70/300mm telephoto. The solo Angels came out and Darren and I were riding north from Renton on the west side of Mercer Island to get to the south end of the course and one of them flew right over us and the look on Darren's face was priceless when it rocketed over his head. I saw it coming but without eye contact you can't yell loud enough "Take cover!"

                          Those are awesome pictures....

Wow, thanks for the great pictures. It looks like you guys must have had a great time.

Given the marginal weather and the high fuel prices, were there many boats on the lake or at the launch?

I won't say it was empty, I'll just say there were probably than 20 trailers in the lot when we left at 1:30 and I think we were within the first five to launch at 7:30/8:00. I'm sure it being a Thursday had a lot to do with it and the fact that the hydros weren't out.
