  • So Cal-Carlsbad Newbe here

Hello all, I just purchased a new 2011 GTI Se 155 wake Sea Doo. I am familiar with waverunners but it's been years since I rode one last. I am looking to meet-ride with others and anyone that may have pointers and tips to help me out. I am a little familiar with the ocean and thats where I want to do my primary riding. I am hoping to get this thing in the water this weekend. I guess I have to do a 10 hr break in period and take it easy. Thanks for any new info and I look forward to riding with you guys.

Went out Sat and Sunday I had a great time. I felt like I was out there forever only to log 5 hrs crazy! Everything went great I finally figured out how to get it into sport mode wow hold on! One thing I'm a little bummed about is the day I bought it I always thought it started a little tough. Sunday I turned it off only to have it barly start yikes not good symbol came up that means low or high voltage. Tonight we are gonna run some tests on it more tomorrow. Like I said a little bummed with it being brand new and everything. Other than that wow what a blast

if its a new 2011 it could have been sitting a long time and the battery may be dieing or dead

Yes it did sit for a year probaly didnt run much. But I wonder why it didnt charge back up while I was riding? Also if a person ever got into an emergency situation is there any way to manually start it?

If it sat for a year and the battery is done for then charging wont do much if anything

Manually start? theres no kick start on jet skis if thats what you mean

Not a kick start lol. No like on a boat motor if the starter goes out you could start it with a rope. I was just wondering if there are any tricks with a sled?

Wow good eye on that one.

When I bought my ski this month the owner said he replaced the battery last season and when I checked it out both cables were loose and the battery was half dead so I put my charger on it and it was still good. I am going to replace mine with a better battery when I can

glad it turned out easy! I need to get a battery for the kawi 550 stand up I recently got, for now I am switching my sl 750 battery over to it when I need to.

Why do batteries have to be so expensive, damn student budget.

I hear ya on that one. I am thinking about picking up a project ski and it needs a battery and top end rebuild and saw that some batteries are over $100 for them. Oh well guess it is the nature of the hobby lol
