  • moving to Western NC, any places to ride?

I bought property in Lake Lure, NC and unfortunately, they don't allow PWCs. Are there any GH members in the area that can help me out? I would really like to keep active in the sport

Lake Chatuge near Hayesville is very nice ride. There is several parks on the water. Jack Rabbit park is very nice. I have property up there.

Well that's closer but still 130 miles away. There has to be places more local to Lake Lure

Might want to check out Fontana Lake, NC. Google says it's a little over 2hrs from you. I've read from a PWC magazine that it is a really nice lake for pwcs. I've never been there but want to check it out sometime.

I ride on Tellico Lake, which is little farther but it is huge (around 17k acres) and has several restaurants and fill up stations on it. A lot of bigger boats so plenty of wake to jump

I will never drive 2 hours to go ride. Looks like my ski will be up for sale when I move.

You could build a still out of it.

Just curious why you would buy property on a lake you can't ride?

Riding is a lot of fun but only a small part of my life.

Do they allow other types of boats? or is it one of those lakes with no motorized vehicles?
