  • Any one in the Tampa area want to lend a hand?

    Hey guys,
I have a 15/20R impeller coming in, and wouldn't mind having a second set of hands/eyes to give me a hand with the installation. I have never done one before, and would like it to go as smooth as possible. Anybody interested? Thanks

Did you purchase the srz model? Also What mods do you currently have. Most likely your impeller will need to be pitched also.

I did order the SRZ model. I currently have 4" kana intake, riva thru hull exhaust, and also have the Riva Gen3 with piping upgrade coming in. V-tech maptuner is also coming in, and will be installing the 8350 or 8400 tune.

I would also look into getting a AFR gauge to monitor. The prop will need to be de pitched some also.

Post up with results. Should be close to a 75mph ski in ideal weather... in this heat you might be in the 73mph neighborhood. Good luck!

Will do. I got in from work around 1130pm, and decided to pull the pump myself. I had it out in approximately 30 minutes in preparation for the new impeller and tool coming in tomorrow. Also forgot I have the Riva intake manifold upgrade kit coming in. Hoping to hit 76-77 in ideal conditions once everything is sorted.

do you have a bence vice or a press to stick the impeller removal tool in to hold it down?

I do have a bench vice with soft jaws to hold it down. Just waiting for fedex to deliver the package with the impeller and tool so i can swap it.

Also... you don't need the Riva intake manifold upgrade kit... all that does is remove the flame arrestor that sits inside the intake manifold. You can do that yourself by just attacking it from the throttle body side with a forked screw driver and alot of patients. I like this idea better then drilling a hole on the back side of the intake and putting a plug in it which could be a potential boost leak in the future.
