AWA Phoenix Watercraft Club/Southern Cal Watercraft Club announces:

It's that time of year again!! If you're snowed in and need to get away from all the cold-to-the-bones weather come on out to Phoenix Ariziona for a great 3 days in the sun. This year we'll be joining with Southern Cal Watercraft Club for 3 spectacular days on the Colorado River; July 1st through July 5th. We'll arrive on Thursday evening July 1st(or early Saturday morning). Friday will be an all day ski event leaving Laughlin and skiing up to Hoover Dam and back with a "have to" stop at the Arizona Hot Springs on the return.(The 110 degree+ weather should feel real good combined with the 50 degree water temps inside the canyon and below Hoover Dam!) There will be two Marina stops every 30 miles and shouldn't be a problem for fuel stops. Saturday we'll hit the water and ski down to Lake Havasu with stops at the "sand bar" and some relaxation on the way through Topac Canyon. Sunday, will be an added additional day this year-we'll be heading up to Lake Mead area and hitting the Narrows for a final day of good food and nice water!! For more info and rates on hotels contact Wayne Shannon/Phoenix Watercraft Cub [email protected]

I should be at Lake Mead the first week in July. If you guys decide to put in at Callville Bay at Lake Mead, let me know. My family has a place at Callville so you guys can meet up at my place, etc. We can shuttle people down to the water, etc. after people park since we have golf carts and the launch ramp is a long walk down.

Maybe we can plan a BBQ at our place after a long day of riding?

I made a site for Lake Mead, take a look:

'05 RXP: X charger, 42lb injetors, XS IC, catch can, shitty 3in front Air Intake/no filter, untouched 15/20, waterbox mod, SS wear ring, Riva intake grate with sharpened wing edges, Jim's basic closed loop rideplate mod, filled all 12 rideplate/grate holes, trued pump tunnel seams, R&D anti-cav cone, new carbon seal/bellow with O-rings in the grooves. Best GPS speed is 80.1 with 1 bar of 91 octane @ 650ft elevation and 165lb rider...there's a touch more in it now and other minor tricks coming.

We had an awesome time! The waves coming back from Hoover on Lake Mojave were 5-6 feet...the best I have ever seen!! It was incredible. Plan to do it again next summer. We have some of our hiking clubs that have gone with us the last two years and it's always fun teaching newbies and with these waves it was fun seeing them fall off too! lol
          Good group of peeps

Mead is a great riding area, how about the west coast get together? I should be back in the area by May or June, for a year or two...
