First time on Lake Travis, it was smooth!

    First time on Lake Travis, it was smooth!

    We took the day off and drove up to Travis this morning. I chose Monday to avoid all of the weekenders haha. It was extremely smooth, it reminded me of Canyon Lake before the water level rose. Since then Canyon has been really choppy, I guess the wind can hit the surface of the water easier.

    Put in at Mansfield Dam and we did a 45 mile round trip ride with a few stops on the more remote parts. I was looking to test the distance we can go for our upcoming trip to Lake Powell. We intended to make it a 55 mile ride but we ran into lots of little debris near Pace Bend park and turned back. I didn't want to risk it being that far from the ramp. Here's a video of how smooth it was.

    nice! i have not made it to travis since it filled up. need to change that and soon.

              so captain spaz aka my wife keeps changing things up for the weekend. so now i can ride either day if you have a preference. i still think an 8am ish launch before it gets nuts is good. i know on the 8th they is a huge gathering at pace bend but its mostly stand ups.

                Saturday is good too. Would we go to the Pace Bend to set up to watch the stand ups do some jumps?

                  id have to look at a map and see how far it is from them dam but that would be a good ride

                      really? looks longer on the map but yeah we can do that. im sure there is a marina on the way to refuel if needed
