In Memory of Skip Holmes - TeamMoto Racing

The Personal Water Craft community has lost a colleague and friend in the passing of Skip Holmes. Skip was a master craftsman of the Kawasaki Ultra race boats. He sponsored a top notch race team out of Florida for several years and was a respected competitor himself.

Skip enjoyed supporting racing enthusiasts with product development regionally as well as nationally and was known at National and World Finals events by many.

On behalf of the PWC community our condolences and prayers are extended to his family and loved ones during this extremely difficult time.

Danielle and I are Photography buds, and Skips positive attitude and sense of humor kept us all laughing every event. My heart aches for Danielle. I hope I can help her in some way. Rest in peace buddy... I will miss you." Ronny McHenry

"I met Skip at the World Finals in 2008, later that year I spent some time with him at the APBA rules meeting in Detroit Michigan. later that night after the meeting a lot of us went to Dinner and drinks I rode along with Skip and his girlfriend. I am glad I spent that evening getting to know Skip. He contributed a lot of... input at that meeting. Skip RIP!' Dave Zier

'We spent so much time together both at races and privately and this is beyond belief for us. Spoke with Danielle today. Please keep her in your prayers as well as his family. We were extremely close friens but more than that we felt like family also. Thank God Skip and Danielle came to Australia with us at Christma...s and spent such a wonderful holiday together. Skip and I have had many long talks together and I will miss him so much. Andrew felt like a brother to Skip. Please remember Skip for the wonderful man he was.' Lorrain Melville

'Skip was a good man. Skip helped participate in the United Warrior Survivor Foundation's K38 Race last year and helped raise some financial aid and awarness for widowed spouses of fallen Navy, Army, Air Force and Marine Special Operations personnel. We greatly appreciated his support of our foundation as well as his service to our country as a former Army Ranger. Our prayers our with those he left behind. We will never forget!' THE RANGER CREED
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor.
