  • Super Long Range Touring

    Hi All,

I am doing some research on super long range touring - many thousands of km, and am searching for information relating to the Aussie guys that did "Oztrek 2000" - circumnavigating Australia on skis/waverunners. I have tried the website link that comes up when I search but it appears the site has been taken down. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

    Many thanks in advance
    Greg

        Hi Greg,

Not sure if you are still looking for the Oztrek 2000 crew? The Oztrek 2000 event was organised as a fundraiser by the Sydney Adventist Hospital. The driving force and one of the riders involved was Paul Fua, back then the marketing and Communications director for the hospital. Paul has moved up to QLD from Sydney, but I am sure I can get his details if you need.

        Cheers,

        Hans

I remember right these guys were trying to do 13,000 miles for a trip. It was a pretty interesting. If I remember right they weren't able to get the full ride completed.

We will attempt to break the world record for the longest distance traveled in June starting in Alaska through Panama channel and up to Miami. (13000miles). Hope to do it in 70 days.We do not have any sponsors and will attempt this without any support. More info on www.13000miles.com
